Bob Chapin specializes in strategic marketing and market research to high-tech enterprises and startups in the wireless telecommunications and mobile computing market. He has conducted hundreds of focus groups for technology-based organizations and is the creator of RapiData, a methodology that provides real-time reporting of mission-critical, actionable data at live events such as tradeshows and conferences as well as on college campuses and retail shopping malls. Combing the results of both qualitative and quantitative data provides our clients with a distinct competitive edge in their product planning and development.

Bob began his wireless telecom career in 1987 providing marketing and advertising consulting to the land mobile communications market. He joined Cardiff Publishing in 1989 as group editorial director and associate publisher of the organization’s Communications Group of magazines where he directed the editorial content and mission of such leading industry publications as Cellular Marketing, Satellite Communications, Communications, Global Communications and Voz y Datos. Bob also acted as the conference director for the International Wireless Communications Expo (IWCE), Satellite Communications Users Conference (SCUC), and the Voz y Datos Expo in Latin America. In 1990, he developed and implemented Cellular Marketing’s Master Cellular Sales Certification curriculum, the first nationally offered training program for cellular sales executives. He has moderated or presented on more than 100 wireless telecommunications and mobile computing panels, including the International Consumer Electronics Show, the Korean Chamber of Commerce (Seoul), and the Latin American Cellular Telecommunications Association (ALACEL in Mexico City). Bob is a Fellow of the Radio Club of America.
