Truphone 3.0 for the iPod Touch
In December 2008, Truphone created a landmark application that converts the simple, wildly popular iPod touch device into a mobile phone – something that the media player was not designed to do. With the Truphone-created app, users find themselves with a powerful phone replete with calling options, instant messaging capabilities, and most attractively, low-cast calling.

With its newest 3.0 iteration, Truphone for the iPod Touch has come to include much more communications features and capabilities. The new version dramatically enhances the instant messaging and account management experience, making Truphone faster than ever before and delivering a new standard for call quality.

Vringo 2.0
In an industry lacking innovation since the ringback in 2004, Vringo filed over 20 patents to revamp the ringtone. What resulted was the first viral mobile application allowing users to seamlessly join a community, then create and share video ringtones.

In 2009, Vringo released its 2.0 version, featuring thumbnail images of videos, video previews with higher resolution, and the ability to record and share video ringtones directly from the phone. Vringo and Marvel Entertainment have also announced collaboration this fall, bringing together the raw talent of an award-winning mobile innovator and a world-class entertainment company to create the world’s first Super Hero video ringtone portal.
