Andrew Seybold Announces Choice Award Finalists; Winners for 2008 Accomplishments to be Revealed at Annual Wireless Dinner

SANTA BARBARA, California, March 10, 2009 – Andrew Seybold today announced the 12 finalists in the annual Andrew Seybold Choice Awards competition which recognizes products and services that reflect the initiative, ingenuity and influence of wireless industry organizations in business and society. The awards will be presented at the 19th Annual Andrew Seybold Wireless Dinner, April 1, the first evening of CTIA Wireless 2009.

Alcatel-Lucent’s WebDesk software presents the web view of a wireless provider’s suite of communications services, extending the user experience from the mobile device to the Web 2.0 mash-up environment. It also supports intelligent interactions for intuitive drag and drop operations on the Web.

The Mobile Money Ventures MMV Financial Services Platform enables bank customers to manage their banking 24/7 using any type of mobile phone. Services might include account inquiry and management, transfer and payments and time deposit applications – as well as securities trading and portfolio management.

QuickOffice MobileFiles Pro is the first iPhone application to allow full editing of Excel spreadsheets while maintaining perfect data integrity. It offers over 125 .xls editing functions and format options, among them font style, cell color choice, insertion/resizing of rows and columns and easy switching between workbook sheets.

Intelligent Mechatronic Systems’ iLane is an intelligent, portable device that enables users to control their smartphones using simple voice commands to open, listen to and respond to email entirely hands-free. It also announces email arrival verbally, using clear conversational phrases.

Research In Motion’s (RIM) BlackBerry Bold is the first BlackBerry smartphone to support tri-band HSDPA high-speed networks around the world and comes with integrated GPS and Wi-Fi®, a rich set of multimedia capabilities and all of the etablished features of the RIM products.

TeleNav Shotgun, an Internet-connected GPS personal navigation device (PND), leverages the wireless network to provide travelers with real-time connected features such as traffic alerts, Internet content (maps, business listings, business reviews) and updated gas prices. Internet integration assures constantly updated information.

Celio’s REDFLY Mobile Companion allows users to interact with the email, spreadsheet, Internet, CRM, remote access, word processing and line-of-business applications on their smartphones via the terminal’s 800x480 pixel screen, through a full keyboard and touchpad.

E*trade Mobile Pro allows E*trade customers to view and manage accounts, view real-time stock information, manage portfolios, execute trades using an E*trade brokerage account, check out relevant news, create watch lists and more.

Powered by QuickPlay Media, the Bell Mobility Media Player provides anytime, anywhere access to live TV, video on demand and radio content through one integrated client, delivered via Bell’s video-enabled devices. Content can include short clips, music, sports, full length TV episodes and special events.

Qualcomm MEMS Technologies, Inc. (QMT) launched the first MEMS display for mobile devices – the mirasol display – a technological innovation that results in low power consumption and longer battery life as well as superb viewing quality in a wide range of environmental conditions, including bright sunlight.

SiBEAM Inc. introduced transmitter and receiver chipsets that enable consumers to set up wireless video area networks (WVAN) with their home entertainment equipment (HDTVs, DVRs, DVD players, et al). The technology can detect weakening signals and re-form/redirect them to the display with no disruption in the signal.

ASCA Trust Digital’s enterprise mobility management (EMM) platform provides policy-managed endpoint security, network access control and compliance reporting features to manage and secure Windows Mobile, Palm and Symbian devices and the Apple iPhone in the enterprise
