Rules and Restrictions
How to Enter
Send a 100-word description and three screenshots of your application to email@example.com. Your mobile application must have been introduced commercially in 2009.
All Finalists will be recognized in Andrew Seybold, Inc. press releases, on its website, and a COMMENTARY e-newsletter issue. Finalists will take the stage to present a 3-4 minute demonstration of their applications at the Andrew Seybold Wireless University. They will receive free admission to the Andrew Seybold Wireless University for two (a $750 value) and three seats for the exclusive, invitation-only Andrew Seybold Wireless Dinner, March 23, 2010, the first night of CTIA Wireless 2010, at The Venetian Hotel, Las Vegas, Nevada. They will also be automatically nominated for the Andrew Seybold Choice Awards in the category Most Innovative Mobile Application.
Who May Enter
Any individual or group of individuals, age 18 and over as of the date of entry, may enter the MobileApp Challenge. Direct employees of Andrew Seybold, Inc., contest judges, or their affiliates, advertising, promotion, production agencies, members of their immediate families, or those with whom they are domiciled are not eligible. In addition, anyone living in a country, province, or state where the Contest is prohibited, taxed, or otherwise restricted under national, federal, provincial, state and local laws, rules, or regulations is ineligible. Participants who are residents of a country, state, or province that prohibits unregistered contests or requires Andrew Seybold, Inc. to post a bond are ineligible. Andrew Seybold, Inc. expressly disclaims any responsibility or liability for any Participant who enters when it is illegal for them to do so. By entering this Contest, Participants agree to waive any additional rights granted in regard to Contests by the country, state, or province in which they are domiciled. Foreign entrants are cautioned to review the laws in the country or province in which they reside to determine if they are prohibited from participating.
By submitting your application, you warrant that:
1. You are not bound by any intellectual property agreement or any other agreement or obligation, with an employer or otherwise, that prohibits or limits in any way your right to participate and/or the Participant’s right to submit material, or that may limit Andrew Seybold, Inc.’s rights in any way to such submission in the event the Entry is chosen as a winner.
2. Your submission does not contain or incorporate the intellectual property and/or confidential information of any third party.
3. You release Andrew Seybold, Inc., its affiliates, employees and agents from any form of action or claims of damages, costs or losses of any kind resulting from your participation.
February 19, 2010. Finalists will be notified no later than February 26, 2010.You are welcome to submit multiple applications, but only one application per developer/company is eligible to become a finalist.
Transportation and Lodging
Finalists will be responsible for their own transportation and lodging to attend the Andrew Seybold Wireless University and the MobileApp Challenge. Likewise, the Winner will be responsible for their own transportation and lodging (if required) to collect their prizes including attendance at the Andrew Seybold Wireless Dinner.
